Aeropath Limited (“we” or “us”) provide a range of products and services, including Aeronautical Procedure Design, Information and Data Management, Professional Consultancy and Training.

What information we collect

If you (and in some cases, your employer) engage us to provide products or services, we may collect some personal information about you. Depending on the nature of the service, this may include your:

  • name
  • contact information
  • location
  • interactions with us
  • billing or purchase information

Do I have to provide this information?

You do not have to provide us this information, but if you do not, we may be unable to provide you with your requested products and services.

Why we collect this information

We collect this information so that we can provide you the products or services you have requested. For example, if you order an aeronautical chart from us, we need to know your name and address so we can send it to you. We also keep a record of all the products and services you have purchased from us for quality control, training and record keeping.

We might also use your information to contact you from time-to-time about our products and services. We will only do this where you have agreed or requested that we provide information, and you can opt out of further communications by using the unsubscribe function located in the footer of our email or by emailing us to advise that you wish to be removed from general communication.

We might also use your information to contact you from time-to-time with important safety information. For example, we may contact you if there was a going to be a delay in the distribution of an AIP amendment. You cannot opt out of safety related communications. If you have any queries about safety related communications, please contact us on the details below and see section 6(b)(iii) of the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

Third parties

We may engage specialist third party data processors to assist us to deliver products and services.  For example, we pass your contact details on to our fulfilment agent in order to pack and deliver the products you have purchased from our online store. We have used reasonable care in selecting these third party data processors, however (to the extent permissible by law) we disclaim any responsibility for their actions. You may request a list of our current third party data processors from us at any time at the contact details below.

We do not collect or hold any of your credit card information. All such information is sent directly to our payment processor and protected in accordance with their security methods.

Finally, we may share your information with our related companies. We are a subsidiary of the Airways Corporation of New Zealand Limited group of companies, and may share your information internally where required to provide you products and services. For example, some of our accounts and billing is provided for us by another Airways company. We have robust internal processes in place to ensure that any of your information shared with our related companies is protected to the same standard as if we held it ourselves.

Websites and cookies

In addition to collecting information from you, our websites use cookies. Cookies are a very common feature of the internet and consist of small text files placed on your computer or device. We use cookies on our websites for various functions. These all relate to improving the user experience for our website – this includes things like tracking the number of visits to our website and other analytics, the contents of your shopping cart (if any), and how you use our websites. Most modern browsers enable you to disable or delete cookies, however your experience of our websites may not be optimal if you do this. Selling your information

All personal information and cookies are only ever used to provide you with products or services, or enhance your experience of your interactions with us. We will never sell your information to any third parties.

Holding your information

We keep your information for up to seven years or as otherwise required by law. If you have not transacted any further business with us after that period of time, we will securely destroy it.

Requesting your information and contacting us

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. Special terms for training services

One of the services we provide is training services. If your employer or organisation has engaged us to provide training services to you, we will need to collect some personal information from you in addition to the above. This includes your:

  • name
  • contact information
  • aviation experience, qualifications and certifications
  • performance during the course of our training

We collect this information in order to provide you and your employer or organisation the training services, and to confirm whether or not you have successfully completed the training.

We share this information with your employer in order to confirm whether or not you have successfully completed the training. If you ask us to, we will also confirm whether or not you successfully completed the training to other organisations (for example, future employers).

Providing this information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide this information, you will not be able to participate in our training services.
